I like this topic. In class we have talked about the harmful chemicals in Maquiladoras it nice that you expanded on other particular region. Would you happen to know how many deaths have resulted because of the exposure to these chemicals?
not sure how many deaths, but even one death from chemical exposure is one death too many.
As a chemistry major, I thought I only had to work with those chemicals in the safe environment of lab, to find out people are exposed to these chemicals everyday in order to get our latest item here in the US. I have definitely learned a lot about the exploitation of workers and seeing them at the forefront is sometimes depressing to think abut. Although sad, it needs to be known in order to stop the harm that companies are causing their workers. I was glad to see that you included organizations against these and it lifted my spirits. I liked your infographic and thought it was very insightful with the information present.
