I really liked this infographic because it was very clear and gave understandable yet informative and helpful information as to what export processing zones are. Both someone educated in this topic and someone who has never heard of them could really gain a good amount from your infographic. I also really liked how you listed the statistics of export processing zones. They gave great perspective to how large of an issue it is and how widespread it is as well, but it also showed how they are highly concentrated in some areas vs. others. Overall I really liked this infographic and it gave a lot of good information without complicating the issue.
I like your topic. EPZ’s are one of the most horrendous aspects of globalization that we’ve discussed in my opinion. I like your map as it is clear and easy to see who has the most EPZ’s. However, you say underneath your graph that EPZ’s are plagued by low wages and poor working conditions. But, I don’t really feel like this is what your infographic is conveying. Also, the information and details seem sparse. It would’ve been great if you had maybe shown the trends over the years. Also, I didn’t see any sources for you info which is always nice to add some credibility.
This is a great infographic for someone who has never heard of export processing zones. I think you did a really great job at conveying the most important information and I love that you gave the different numbers of EPZs in the different continents. This is definitely something that I would show friends or family to introduce the topic of EPZs. Awesome job!
