  1. I appreciate that you focused on an environmental issue for your Each One Teach One project. It seems to me that a lot of times environmental concerns are brushed off as irrelevant because their impact is hard to measure in the short-term. However, as you described in your project, environmental issues such as overfishing have the potential to destroy ecosystems and animal life, as well as depleting an important source of capital and nutrients for humans.

  2. I like the infographic. It provides me with the perfect amount of information. It’s interesting how you talk about how some countries have regulations on fishing and others don’t. It reminds but of IMF restrictions on developing countries and not on others. I agree that we need more MPA’s. Our ocean is so vital to us

  3. I think this is a great issue to highlight because overfishing has been influenced by globalization and it will leave an everlasting effect on the world if not dealt with immediately. I like how you used Thailand as an example of deregulation and liberalization, as well as showing the overall consequence of overfishing. The images used really reinforces your argument of the impact of overfishing. There definitely needs to be more regulations to protect our ocean and sea life.

  4. I think your map indicating the lack of protection reveals the different level of consciousness regarding overfishing. I wonder how developing countries come up with different solutions. Although I learned about this topic in my food and ethic class, it never occurred to me to think with a liberalization lens. Thank you for sharing!
