  1. I think this is a greatly relevant topic to cover since it is both a global issue and now has become an issue so close to us in the United States. All the information was very clear and helped me understand more about Ebola. I do not know too much about other than what has been covered in the news and this was helpful in aiding my understanding. I like how you laid it out to show how it has globally affected people, and brought it back to the US to show how a global issue can travel far and wide and eventually end up on your doorstep. This was well done and it provided great information that is both relevant to this class as well as the general population.

  2. You did an excellent job at connecting a very current event with globalization. You made me think about the problem on a larger scale. I watch the news and most of the buzz seems to be about the U.S. but to look at this problem larger – especially in comparison to West Africa, it reminds me of the consequences of privilege. It’s not a new problem for them – but it only became a major concern because it seeped into the United States. It really shows the way in which economic power really plays an influence in media decisions.

  3. Some reporters have argued that the Ebola virus’ presence in the US is a conscious decision by President Obama as it is pay back for the centuries of slavery.
