Hacienda CDC is an after school program for housing developments with high populations of diverse students from both the Latino community and the African refugee community.The program runs Mon-Friday, from 2:30-6. You will be working with elementary school students from 2:30-4:30 and middle school students from 4:30-6. I will be taking volunteers Wednesdays and Fridays from 2:30-6.
Hacienda would like a commitment of 10 weeks (volunteering for the rest of the semester) but the time commitment is up to you (once a day every week or once a month) as your schedule allows. On weekdays the emphasis is on homework help and on Fridays it’s more crafts and playing outside. This is a great opportunity to practice your Spanish, interact with children, and have some fun!
