The Kids First Project works to promote HOPE –
Health, Opportunity, Play, Education
– by raising awareness on the lack of funding going towards disadvantaged children, providing the resources necessary for children experiencing homelessness to reach their full potential, freeing up time for parents to get training on job skills and ultimately breaking the generational cycle of poverty.
Program Night volunteers will lead the program of the night (usually three options, active and quiet activities) for the children in shelter based on age group.
Volunteers will be able to choose between the age groups of 2-4, 5-10, or 11-18 years. Activity examples: one on one tutoring, healthy cooking classes, poetry, read aloud, and arts and crafts.
Dates are flexible! Interested in volunteering?
