pour2_wordpress13 MBA students traveled to Ireland for a week long International Business Experience. Part of the agenda included exclusive meetings with the Guinness Global Brand team and Jameson Irish Whiskey executives.

The MBA program, International Business Experience, is designed to better prepare graduate students for the realities of global business and to leverage the network of connections between the University community, faculty, business experts, and corporate partners across the globe.

Students met industry leaders such as Fergal Murray, master brewer and Global Brand Ambassador for the world-famous stout, Guinness. Murray, who has poured the popular beverage for the Queen of England, President Obama and many other celebrities and dignitaries, hosted a private tasting for the students.

“Most great MBA programs use case studies and group projects to help us learn what it takes to be an effective manager of technological innovation,” current MBA student, Ben Schulte said. “With this new program, UP has taken it to the next level and secured students face-to-face meetings with international executives and thought leaders in their place of business. No case study can compete with that.”
