This year thirty-four teams participated in the $100K Challenge Venture Competition. We want to thank all our judges, mentors, sponsors, faculty and staff that helped to make the event a success and prepared the students for their outstanding presentations.

All the judges reported the presentations were more advanced than any in previous year and the choices between teams was a difficult one to make.

We would like to congratulate all the participants and wish them the best of luck in their entrepreneurial endeavors.

The winner in the Social Enterprise category was Ashley Lund and Spencer Fovell of Pro Social.

All participants will be provided support in developing their plan and presentation through workshops and mentors, and receive great feedback from experienced judges.

This is a great opportunity to test a plan for a business and improve the chances of success and procurement of funds. Even if a student is not actually ready to launch

a business, this is a great way to learn about creating, presenting and updating a high quality business

plan. These skills will help to prepare the students to evaluate plans for products and services within other companies or as a non-profit board member.

Those who advance to the finals of the competition will have the opportunity to receive a modest cash reward and the potential for significant financial and in-kind services support for their new businesses.
