Hello! My name is Reilly Smith (he/him/his), and I will be a senior at University of Portland beginning in the fall, graduating in 2025. I am a graduate of La Salle Catholic College Preparatory and Clackamas Community College, and have a professional background in business/enterprise information systems and nonprofit management. At UP, I am majoring in history and minoring in German studies, and am especially interested in the history of cities and urbanism.
One of the things I am most looking forward to during my time in Spain with UP is immersing myself in a region with so much cultural and religious history firsthand and through a hands-on experience like this, and I am interested in exploring how religion, society, and cities can complement and influence one another. While in Spain, I am looking forward to developing my leadership skills, specifically those centered on courage, trying new things, and getting out of my comfort zone.
