Between snow flurries and ice storms in January a gathering of 2016 PURE participants and those interested in participating in this summer’s program was hosted by Fr Rutherford.
The standing-room-only crowd…well, there weren’t a lot of chairs…enjoyed munching cookies and refreshments while viewing a video presentation of the archaeological site. Afterwards there was an opportunity for 2016 students to share their research experiences and the impact of the exploration…besides it being “really fun”, ”you have to go…it was so much fun”!
Fr Rutherford lead the group in a moment of silence to honor Fr Ron, Padre Drone, that passed away in December.
On April 4th 2017 Dr. Miguel Ángel Cau Ontiveros, Director of the Archaeological and Archaeometrical Research Unit of the University of Barcelona will be giving a presentation of the on-going work.
