Kelli Wilson began her career in IT over 10 years ago as an IT Project Manager with the United States Army Network Command. Following this she transitioned into IT Service Delivery working for Siemens IT Solutions & Services. Within Service Delivery she gained experience working in outsourced IT environments both as an outsourced supplier and as a customer. She has extensive experience in developing and implementing Service Desk practices and has extensive leadership experience of enterprise wide cross functional teams. Following her experience as a Service Delivery Manager at The Standard she served as the IT Sr. Director of End User Services and was responsible for the delivery of services including the Service Desk, Desk Side Support, Provisioning, Application Packaging, Mobility, and IT End User Training. She currently directs the IT Service Management Office which includes; centralizing processes across the IT environment, service level management, and the governance and performance to contract of IT operational providers.
Her advice to students:
Explore different opportunities that will provide a wide array of experience. Find multiple mentors that provide information on career paths. Gaining many perspectives is beneficial. A great mentor is one that is willing to provide feedback on your strengths and areas of opportunity to help you be successful.
