Office 365 is a cloud based collaboration suite that is now included with our Microsoft campus licensing agreement. This tool suite includes web applications for email and calendaring, file storage and sharing, group chat and video conferencing, as well as online and client versions of Microsoft Office applications.
Office 365 will be available to all staff, faculty, and students as part of ongoing efforts to enhance communication and increase collaboration across our campus. With the input of key users across campus representing teaching and learning, administrative staff and students, who invested time in evaluation and testing, the Advisory Council for Enterprise Services (ACES) approved a proposal to move forward with the Office 365 Collaboration Suite. Implementing Office 365 for our campus will enable students, faculty and staff to collaborate with each other on one platform. In addition, Office 365 will assist with our current face-to-face and technology assisted courses and bring a new set of tools to enhance our hybrid and online courses. This suite of tools also allows our staff to take advantage of collaboration features that haven’t been part of our traditional work environment.
