Our Mission
We reduce waste and promote reuse at the University of Portland with students, the broader campus community, and local nonprofit partners. Through donation drives and our MoveUP Marketplace, we foster a culture of sustainability and transform everyday items into resources that benefit the campus community and our Portland neighborhoods. By empowering students to give, share, and act responsibly, MoveUP inspires lasting environmental practices and strengthens connections that extend beyond campus life.
Core Values
Sustainability
A commitment to reducing and reusing waste across campus to preserve resources, lower our environmental footprint, and inspire future generations to rethink how we consume and care for our planet.
Community
We strengthen connections between students, the campus community, and local nonprofit partners to build a culture of shared responsibility, generosity, and mutual support.
Affordability
We make sustainable living accessible for all students by offering practical, low-cost options that ease financial stress while reducing waste.
