Step 1
With the introduction of Moodle 3.6, the Announcements forum is no longer on the first page that you see when you log into Moodle. However, to ensure that you do not miss any important messages, it is easy to subscribe to the Forum so that you receive email updates. To do so, after logging in, click Site Home in the left-hand navigation menu.
Step 2
You will now be on a page that displays the announcements. Above the top right corner of the announcements, there will be an option that says Subscribe to this forum. Clicking this option will opt you in to email updates.
Step 3
If at a later time you decide that you no longer wish to receive these emails, you can click Unsubscribe from this forum in the same location.
