The Clark Library has a new gallery space on the main floor. Our first exhibits were Remembering Howard Hall and Germany at the Polls.
The current exhibit, Searching for Homunculus, will have an opening reception in the Clark Library on Friday, October 27 from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm. The exhibit features the work of Mark R. Pitzer in the Psychological Sciences department, a behavioral neuroscientist who studies diseases of the brain and teaches about brain evolution and function. He is also an artist and creates sculptures and paintings that explore the disparities between how we experience conscious awareness and how the brain may actually function. People are invited to drop by the reception and chat with the artist. The exhibit is on display through December.
The Clark Library Gallery will showcase the creativity of University of Portland students, faculty, and staff, the diversity of the scholarship and culture on our campus, and the history of the University.
