Continuing our exploration of new functionality and features gained in our annual Fall Moodle update, today’s #UPTechTip shows how to allow multiple due dates for Assignment activities via the use of Overrides.
Previously, instructors had no easy way to specify staggered dates and often created multiple copies of Assignment activities with differing due dates instead – a time-consuming and potentially confusing process. Using Overrides (which can also be used to provide time accommodations on Moodle Quiz activities) is much easier!

Overrides work well for Group activities that may require a variety of deadlines for project milestones or presentation dates. Using Moodle Groups is a powerful tool to facilitate collaborative work, set-up learning Wikis, or foster better online discussions.
