Overview
When teaching a mix of in-person and at-distance students, you will likely run into challenges in feeling connected and engaged equally with at-distance students. You may not be able to rely on traditional classroom strategies like asking for a show of hands or intuiting which students would benefit from being called on for a question. Digital tools can be a way to create engagement that is equally effective across both groups of students. Zoom offers a built in polling function that may be useful for you.
The polling feature for meetings allows you to create single choice or multiple choice polling questions for your course meetings. You will be able to launch the poll during your meeting and gather the responses from your learners. You also have the ability to download a report of polling after the meeting. Polls can also be conducted anonymously, if you do not wish to collect participant information with the poll results.
