So, May 19thwas pretty much just a transition day for us and not much happened. We left Rob and Rangamarie’s retreat after performing some service for them (clearing invasive bushes and collecting sticks) and headed back into Raglan. This time we’re going to be staying at a new Marae, Kokori. We were welcomed with a powhiri, met by Kimo and his family (who were extremely welcoming and friendly). We settled in, and, uh, that’s pretty much it. Really full day, huh?
But alongside these events, on our minds was the fact that this day marked the halfway point for this trip. Time has seemed to both fly by, but last forever. We’ve gone through experience after experience that granted us the opportunity to reflect on ourselves, both as leaders and as people. We’ve danced in the rain and sweat our hearts out. Each day we’ve met someone new who has helped us grow and cultivate our potentials. Without a doubt, we will return from this trip transformed.
As a look back at our time here, I included a bunch of photos of memorable times we’ve had. Here’s to many more!
