This fall, the English department started a new chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honor Society. Last Thursday, we held our first induction ceremony, welcoming seventeen English majors and minors to the society. To qualify, students must have completed at least three semesters at UP, rank in the top third of their class, and have at least a 3.5 GPA overall and in the major. We will have another induction in the spring for any sophomores who qualify, and officers Cerice Keller and Leah Becker will be planning activities that any interested majors may join.
