What is the Creators Conference?
The Creators Conference is a “For Creators, By Creators” event on the University of Portland campus to highlight digital multimedia and celebrate students who are active in the creative community. The event will feature student-Creator keynotes and networking opportunities for like-minded digital media enthusiasts to meet. Whether it’s writing, photography, video production, music, digital art, or video game development, the Creators Conference is a place for everyone to feel at home.
I heard about it last year, but didn’t go. What did I miss?
Last year, 30 students attended the 2018 Creators Conference featured four UP students and alumni who spoke on their experiences working in digital media fields. These speakers included:
Sven Shoultz (Team Co-Lead at OTBS),
Nick Huey (Developer for Project Fruitman),
Nick La Cava (Social Lead at On AG),
Casey Nguyen (Videographer/Editor at Colorblind Agency)
