“I am a first year MPH candidate at the Colorado School of Public Health with an emphasis in Global Health and Health Disparities. I’m thrilled to be working as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Center for Disaster and Risk Analysis with Dr. Lori Peek on two projects engaging youth recovering from disasters such as Hurricane Katrina and the BP Oil Spill. When I’m not reading journal articles, it has been wonderful to go hiking and biking around Northern Colorado. I’m so grateful for my time at UP and for the generosity and energy of the professors and staff. The opportunities I had in the classroom, in the community, and in research especially with Dr. Van Hoomissen and Dr. Beadles-Bohling was great preparation for graduate school.”
