The ASUP Elections occur twice a year. The Fall Election is for Freshman Class ASUP Senators and any resolutions to change, amend, or alter the ASUP Constitution, that were passed post Spring Election. The Spring Election is for the ASUP Executive Board, and the 2017-2018 Senators/Speaker of the Senate.
The ASUP Elections Committee oversees and runs both elections. The ASUP Vice- President is also the Elections Committee Chair, unless they choose to appoint someone as chair.
For the 2017-2018 elections, the Elections Chair is Victoria Beccar Varela and can be contacted at email@example.com
- March 7, Presidential Debate Speech Night
- March 8, Meet the Candidate Night at Espresso UP
- ELECTIONS are MARCH 22ND-23RD from 8:00am – 8:00pm
You can vote at pilots.up.edu . During elections there will be a voting portal that is active. For the Spring Senator Elections, for some of your senators you can vote for more than one candidate.
The Election Committee goes around and sets up tables in places like the Commons, the Pilot House, the Library, etc. as a way to make voting more convenient for you.
You should vote because you can help make a difference in the school by electing the right candidates. You can help choose who represents you, your voice, and your needs. You should vote because it’s a great way to get practice for other elections that happen: such as the Presidential, State, etc.
