Arrival Instructions
Dear ABEAI Conference Session Chairs and Participants:
First, thank you for your papers and participation. There will not be a table for the registration nametags before the start of the first session. Please arrive 10 minutes earlier to sessions and pick up your nametags. Nametags will remain on the conference registration table inside the designated meeting room for the duration of the Conference.
Items of Interest:
-You will find your name tag and reception tickets (two drink) inside. Due to liability issues, you can only use two drink tickets at the reception.
-No hard copies of the final Event Schedule will be available at the conference. Please make sure to bring a hard copy or access the final version at http://abeai.org/schedule_of_events .
-At the conclusion of the Conference, please return the plastic nametag hangers to the basket on the registration desk. We are trying to recycle our materials as much as possible.
-Load your presentation on a thumb drive. Wifi access in the conference room may not be available so please be prepared appropriately.
-Feel free to dress casually for all Conference events.
Airport Transportation options in Hawaii:
Uber and Lyft are available at the airport.
Rental cars, cabs, Speedy shuttle (1 (877) 242-5777) are also options. You may need to make shuttle reservations in advance. Please seek help from the airport information desk and staff.
Presenters:
-We will have a designated PC laptop for presentations. It will be connected to the projector. Please use the designated laptop and your thumb drive to avoid technical complications.
– Average time allotted per presentation is around 17 minutes.
-Apple laptops are not compatible with the system.
-We will not have an overhead projector.
Session Chairs:
We have tried our best to make sure that all scheduled authors will attend and present their papers. If there are absentees, you may allocate more time to remaining presenters. Please allow 5-10 minutes at the end of the session to choose the best paper for your session by secret ballot, and submit the paper title and author name to abeai@up.edu. These papers may be eligible for publication in the Journal of Business Leadership (JBL). JBL is the official journal of the American National Business Hall of Fame and indexed by Cabells.
The username and password for the session laptop is taped to the keyboard. Please go to your session a few minutes earlier and log on to the laptop.
Participants:
Please attend as many sessions as possible and cast your votes for best papers.
Best paper authors:
If your paper is selected as a Best Paper in Session, your paper may be eligible for publication in the Journal of Business Leadership (JBL). Please visit http://www.anbhf.org/jbl.html for further details.
We will contact you no later than December 30 regarding paper submission to JBL.
The Conference Proceedings
-The downloadable Conference Proceedings will be on the website (www.abeai.org) by January 15. No revisions are accepted after December 25.
