Project Description

Produced in various forms and appearances, Tetris is a classic arcade video game that has been entertaining people since 1984. Our team will be recreating this classic game using electrical engineering concepts and hardware programming. The final product will present the user with a 2-D colored LED matrix and a functional Tetris game interface to play the game.

Design Implementation

In order to implement our design we plan on using several electrical and mechanical components. The project will be designed in the software language C using a Raspberry Pi micro-controller which will send signals to a LED Matrix HAT which drives a 32 by 32 LED Matrix.

Tetris Description

The game Tetris involves a narrow column in which a randomly chosen one of six uniquely shaped blocks slowly descends to the bottom of the column. These blocks must be organized by the user rotating and shifting the block that is currently descending to completely fill a row in order for that row to be cleared.
