To the uninitiated, the Library of Congress shelving system is really confusing — especially the fiction section. I get that the e-catalog exists for a reason, but sometimes I just want to go in and browse a whole genre of fiction without knowing what I’m going to be interested in!

The easiest solution I can think of is just to post signs underneath the call numbers on each shelf, listing the broad categories that fall under the call numbers.

If anyone has other suggestions to make it easier to find stuff when you don’t have a specific book in mind, that’d be cool, too.
