Lynn White, Jr. (1907-1987)
“The Historical Roots of Our Ecological Crisis” Published in 1969, which basically stated that historically Christianity, the primary reason for the emergence of Western science through the desacralization of nature, is largely to blame for the environmental crisis. His theory is largely referred to as the ‘Burden of Guilt’ understanding of religion and ecology.
